… to be edited by my wife. I finally had to tell her to stop writing YUCK! in the margins. It was killing my ego.
This pales in comparison to the hacking my manager does to me. She shows NO mercy most of the time! Interesting page.
Funny, funny. Thank you for sharing.
You have a working title for this one…?
i was looking to see if you’d written it somewhere and I didn’t see it, like you know, a google search. – ‘ben hewitt chelsea green’ i found lots of references to early ’15. no title. can you tell i’m procrastinating at work? anyway i watched the talk from 2011 that came up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAP1SYNH36c
you’re genius (i’m trying to help). seriously, great talk.
what did you do to that hat anyway?
that was Penny’s hat. She just wore it out.
Struggling with the title, to be honest. It was originally going to be something like The Nourished Homestead, but that just feels too… precious, for lack of a better word. The basic conceit is small scale growing with a focus on nutrient density, via both soil remineralization and high quality cultured foods and animal products (Weston Price style). Also hand craft and gentle philosophy. Got any ideas?

I like “The Future’s In The Dirt.”
Right Food, too bold?
From The Ground Up?
Feeding the Soil?
Fat of the Land: Lessons from the Ground
Too funny. You mentioned VT Compost which I believe is the one with the donkey on the bag. My driver for Ross always makes comment that he has a pallet of donkey poop for so and so. Gotta love those who don’t get it.
A familiar experience. Also a sign of a good partnership. :)
At least she doesn’t use red pen like I remember all of my teachers using. Like someone slashed your paper to death:)
Book title: The Whole-Life Homestead
Byline: Benevolent Habitation on a Living Planet
If you use it I’ll be looking for my signed copy in the mail!
I reckon you named the book during your (video’d) talk: Your future is in the dirt… plus by line
Hahahahaha! Yuck…that cracked me up, your wife’s a card. I’ve got an idea for a title, I’ll pop you an email…~Vonnie
