He’ll catch up with your TLC
oh, piglets…I never knew how absolutely adorable they are until the farm down the street had a batch.
On a related note – I just read your Taproot column. It’s lovely. And it makes me want the same *so much*. I’ve never felt connected to a place – just to people – and I’ve always been happy where ever I am as long as I’m with the people who mean the most to me. But reading about your connection to your land makes me think that I’m missing something.
Anyway…your writing is so thought-provoking and inspiring. If you ever run out of ideas (somehow I don’t think that’s likely!), I’d love to hear more about how you found your land, how you built your house, etc. I feel a little like I’m jumping in to the middle of your story, and I want to know the beginning.
Thanks so much for your kind words. If you look back through my posts, you’ll find a good bit about my backstory. You’ll also find some of it in the upcoming issue of Taproot and in my next book, which will be out next February.
Thanks again, take care,
Runts are always my favorite of the bunch. What a great color that little piglet is!
[...] A great pic from Ben Hewitt. [...]
I am a sucker for a runt of any species… I know I know, it’s not what mother nature intends, for us to coddle the smaller and weaker… but nobody programmed my heart that way.
